Pat, Sorry, we do not know which county...that's the frustrating thing about finding the family. We only know that Marmaduke removed to Bedford Co., TN c1800-1810. If he removed with parents or siblings, we can only venture to guess. There are other Mitchell's living in Bedford Co. circa his removal to TN....we cannot tie them to M.D. at this time. Our intent is to research all the Mitchell's from NC hoping to find a clue. Is the NC DAR index on-line?
