Joanne, Your habit sounds a lot like mine. I seem to find info for other people so much more easily than my own I would appreciate the attachment very much. I have a cousin who told me his father thought our ancestors "probably" came from Va. In that case the trail would have gone through NC, SC into Ga. unless they were over near the western trek down through NC SC Tenn and into Ga and Al. Rowan Co. would be over by the western trek.Lots of "Fossetts" in north Ga and Al. NC seems to be mostly "Fawcetts/Faucetts,etc." I just feel what I am looking for is right under my cursor and can't see it. Greene Co Ga had a politician named Peter Early and I believe my Peter Early is named for him. There is a Louisa Fossett in Greene Co Ga that married a William Gaston. I believe she is either sister or mother to Peter. His first dau. is named Louise/Louisa and the name is all through the family as well as the Early name. Haven't found the Gastons beyond Greene Co. Ga. The widow Martha Fossett is daughter of John and Patience Brunt. They are buried beside Peter and Martha in the Pike Co Ga Old Salem/Fossett Cemetery. Thank you so much for your interest. Also, I have access to Heritage Quest here in my library. Thanks for that tip. NC and his signed statement. (I can send a copy via attachement if you like.) Since Peter Early Fossett named his first son Robert, this could be useful IF you have reason to think Peter's parents were in NC. Robert's name, by the way, is "translated" by officials as Faucett, Forsett et al, although Robert's signature is clear when you remember that an S was usually written as an f. > > Let me know if you want the attachment. > > Joanne Kartak > > >-> > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Check out other genealogy resources on the net at John Fuller's most > helpful site http://www.rootsweb.com/~jfuller/gen_mail.html > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > AMERICAN-REVOLUTION-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' > without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message > > > __________________________________________________ > Do You Yahoo!? > Tired of spam?
