A search on Google Books of "Robinson's Rangers" got several hits. Only one had a mention of a TIDD... that was James Tidd, and the date was 1755... alas, not your Martin. But each "full view" book is searchable, and I searched on TIDD not TID... Hopefully you can find something with a more thorough search. There is a "snippet" view in which Martin Tid is noted as a Private in the Robinson's Rangers. Report of the Commission to Locate the Site of the Frontier Forts of Pennsylvania By John M.
