Does anyone know how far Washington Square is from the site of Fort Washington? I think Lossing describes the site of the Revolutionary fort. Anne

Washington Square is in lower Manhattan, same area as NYU. Fort Washington is at the northern extremity of Manhattan Island, well north of the GW bridge.
