Do you know where I could find death records or military records for Ninety Six? I was there last fall and I wish I'd had time to do some more checking. I feel this is where my gr gr gr gr grandfather Nicholas or (William Nicholas Briskey/brisky) and his family we're. He and his brother Charles we're in the American revolution they we're french and decided to stay and fought in the American Army. They are in the wills and bonds book. But I'm trying to find where they homesteaded and where they are burried. Being disabled I can't afford to hire anyone. So any help is greatful. They ended up being a very historical family and his son ended up with plantation in Alabama and slaves. And they also lived in Troup GA for a time. Where his son received a land grant. 1832. I found marriage of Nicholas in 1789 May. Charles died in Charleston just after the American Revolution of typhoid no one seems to be able to find records. They we're baptist.
