I have little to go on, and it is from another researcher. 28 Dec. 1778, John Thorn of Surry Co. Va. dies in Rev. Army. His widow Martha had 4 children. 28 Dec. 1778 Surrey Rev. Militia. Certificate that Mildred Williams is widow of Lewis Williams, a soldier who died in service, leaving her five small chileren. SAME AS TO MARTHA, WIDOW OF JOHN THORN, WHO DIED IN SERVICE LEAVING HER FOUR CHILDREN. Does anyone know whether the names of children were ever listed in any records?
