    3. Thank you Kate! Yes, that Cornelius 1666 Essex Co VA-1746, Essex Co VA,is thought to be the gg-grandfather of the later Cornelius 1750-1811 Rev War Vet. All complicated by the fact that Wm SALE, the immigrant 1638..had two sons whose lines continued the names of Cornelius and William all the way. AND we aren't sure if our early Wm SALE is the same man or even related to the Wm SAYLE who is written about as Gov of the Carolinas and settled some of his family in the Isle of Man. It is starting to come together however. Thanks for this info!
