    1. [AMERICAN-REVOLUTION] seeking info on pos service of John Janvrin of NH

    3. Greetings, I am trying to determine if one John Janvrin of Rockingham County, NH served in the Revolutionary War. John was born in 1754 in Newington, Rockingham County, New Hampshire to John Janvrin and Elizabeth Stickney. He married Elizabeth Gilman Adams (d/o Dr. Joseph Adams and Joanna Gilman) first, and after her death in child birth or shortly after married Jane Swett. (I'm descended from his first and only son with Elizabeth.) John Janvrin died on the 2 Nov 1837. At this moment I have little idea if John may have served in the War but he was certainly of the correct generation, and the fact of his location as well as his marriage to the first cousin of President Adams suggests that if he did serve it was probably on the Patriot side. Thank you for any insights you may have. Best regards, Kenneth ____________________________________________________________________________________ Yahoo!
