Dear Listers: How can I find out if anyone has joined the DAR by proving lineage to William (W) Wood, Rev War Patriot who fought from Orange County NC with a total service of 2 years? William Wood was born 7-15-1751 in Lancaster County PA and died Sep 1, 1837 in Halifax County NC. The DAR has provided info that Wm Wood was a patriot from Orange county NC. I also have his pension papers from NARA that states he drew a Rev War pension effective Oct 10, 1832. One of my ancestors in Wm Wood's lineage "Calvin W. Wood's" gravestone in Lamar County TX states "buried under the auspices of the DAR." I know this William Wood is mine but can't find his will for proof. Can anyone help? Many thanks, Doris June
