    2. This Samuel Adams died 1847 Samuel Adams born June 24, 1762 died September 15, 1847 Samuel Adams was born in Boston, Massachusetts June 24,1762. He was baptized in the Old North Church, Boston's second church, in which were hung the lanterns that signaled to Charlestown patriots that Paul Revere had started his famous ride on April 18, 1775. When Samuel was old enough he was apprenticed to one Joseph Howard of Concord, apparently a housewright, and lived while learning the Adams Trade, at the Concord suburb of Acton. From there when he had just turned fourteen, young Samuel enlisted as a Mariner aboard the Privateer Ship "Boston." This was in the fall of the year 1776. http://www.isomedia.com/homes/krhodes/stories/sam_adams.htm
