I just had to share this one. Some folks have all the luck. I just started studying the JENNINGS pension applications on M804-1413 to see if some relative of my Justus had more than his 10 pages of sketchy info. In the file of Peter JENNINGS, I first came across a typed page by the pension bureau dated Jan 22, 1897 that outlined Peter's service. Later on in the file is the note that prompted the reply. It looks like a postcard sized sheet of paper; South Port Conn. Jan 3d 1897 Pension Bureau Gentlemen, Please send me the record of Peter Jennings a pensioner of the Amer- ican Revolution at Fairfield, Fairfield Co. Conn. You will do me a great favor to send immediately as my daughter wishes to join the D.A.R. before the 10th inst. Very Resp. W.C. Jennings ***** I hope his disappointment in not getting the response for *3 weeks* was mitigated by the info it provided.<g> Jim
