    3. Hi List Members I hope someone here can help me Appreciate any help or suggestion anyone can offer that might lead me to finding the information I need. I'm searching for the Roster of men who served under Captain ICHABOD HOW of Winthrop, Massachusetts/Maine. "Ichabod How was chosen to represent the town in a Provincial Congress, to be holden at Cambridge, the first day of Feb., 1775 they then proceeded to choose "military officers to discipline the inhabitants, agreeably to the directions of Provincial Congress" "A brief History of Winthrop" David Thurston pg. 71 My fifth Great-Grandfather ZEBEDEE DELANO was selected 8th on the 1st day of February 1775 in Winthrop Maine to serve as 4th Sargent. I very much want Zebedee Delano recognized by the DAR. I have the above Information from" A Brief History of Winthrop" David Thurston pg. 69-75, but this doesn't fall in the excepectable time frame 18 April 1776- November 1783. It doesn't make since to me that Zebedee Delano would volunteer to serve his County the 1st day of Feb 1775 and would not still be ready to serve his Country on or after the 18th April 1776. He live until 1804, I would guess he was in good health. Zebedee Delano is also listed DAR Patriot Index Volume I A-F pg. 738 and Founders And Patriots Of America Index pg. 66. listed With wife Sarah Worthy (should be Northy) Would anyone have a good explanation why Zebedee Delano service was denied?
