Capt. Aaron Aorson had been in the First NY Regiment since 1775 under McDougall. He was promoted from 1st Lt. in the Fifth Company to Capt. of the 1st Company as a result of casualties in the Siege of Quebec [Egly, History of the First NY Regiment, p. 13]. Good hunting, Judy
