I'm trying to confirm information from several documents which state that a member of Archibald Lytle's Reg. served a total of 84 months as a private in the NC Continentals. I know the man served and was awarded with 640 acres in TN, but 84 months of service? Seems in order to do so, he would have to have enlisted in 1775 and stayed until Cornwallis surrendered in 1782.
