The 225th anniversary of Yorktown has passed with no notice here, but a tremendous effort by re-enactors rewarded many thousands of onlookers. If you join the Yahoo group called "revlist" you can see two batches of photos. The SAR has also posted photos, but theirs focus on the parade, banquet and contemporary politicians. No wonder they have some recruitment problems. One of my ancestors from the 1st NY Continental was there in the original event as part of Leonard Bleecker's Light Infantry. No banquets and parades for him; his next task was to march with the huge escort of British prisoners. That must have been a sight. Cheers, Judy
