Robert John Eager was an infantryman and one of Morgan's frontier riflemen. A part of his service record is documented in the Saratoga National Park records. Brig. Gen. James Wood stated that he knew that he was wounded, sent to hospital, and he never saw him again but was informed that he had died of his wounds. I suppose there are lots of things that just don't get recorded in the craziness of war. Thanks.
