Captain Aorson's roster is in "New York in the Revolution" by Berthold Fernow. He commanded the fifth company of Col. Peter Gansvoort's 3rd NY regt. Don't see John Rynders. There's a James Rynders and a John Rynders with no company listed, in Col. Van Schaick's 1st NY regt.
