Thank you for the website which I visited. It seems to me, that this could have been the site of Camp Germanna in 1776; however, I have never been able to find reference to that fact. This was Fort Germanna, Germanna Ford, and Germantown Fort. It would seem that a Camp receiving recruits at the beginning of the Rev. War might name their camp after that area; however, I have not been able to find a reference to where Camp Germanna was located, or have I heard of any other person being recruited there. I do know that it was a place where recruits were enlisted. If anyone could expound on the recruiting and enlistment procedures, that would also be very helpful. Does anyone know if the so called "Camps" were very temporary or were they set up for the long term?" Chocy
