Pat, Godfrey and the CSG aside, I was able to check the SAR membership directory for 1993. p. 497 Kellogg, Pliny (patriot) Kellogg, Glen Franklin (member) p. 204 Kellogg, Glen Franklin, 117766 (I assume membership #); Erie, PA; Pliny Kellogg; Pvt., Hadley MA; 840 Rankine Ave, Erie, PA 16511, 814-899-2669; Retired Pharacist, Betty (wife's name) Also, using Heritage Quest through CSG, there are 2 pensions apps for Pliny Kellogg. A quick look, it looks like he applies in 1818 (then living in Ohio) and again in 1834 (then living in NY). Looks like he had an eventfull service. Battle of NY, Battle of Monmouth, Battle against Burgoyne (Saratoga). SAR and DAR: If you are applying to the SAR, they do accept DAR approved lines as proof. eg. If your grandmother was DAR, you would only have to prove your descent from your grandmother and then use her DAR line as proof back to your ancestor. Note though that the DAR is now requiring additional proof for earlier approved lines. In earlier years the proving of lines was not rigidly scrutinized so people applying using some older DAR lines are required to "re-prove" the line. It would probably be worth your while to send a request to the NARA for the complete pensions ($37), but it looks like you might have to send a request for each. Without checking closely, I'm assuming these are the same guy but I suppose it could be a father and son.
