    3. Hello Everyone: I am trying to locate the burial of the below Jesse Amburgey and his wife. Is there anyone on this list who is a direct descendent of this Amburgey? Lieutenant Jesse Amburgey (male) He was born in June 1822 in Castlewood, Russell County, Virginia. He married Rachel B. Cornett on Sunday, November 12, 1843. He died between 1900 and 1910 in Upper Carr Precinct, Knott County, Kentucky. He was buried either on Main Carr or Burgey's Creek, in Knott County, Kentucky. He was the son of Robert "Robin" "Rubin" Amburgey and Elizabeth "Posey" "Betsy" Fuller. Notes on Lieutenant Jesse Amburgey: Physical Description: He was described as being six feet in height, of light complexion, with black eyes and auburn hair. Residence in 1827: Robert "Robin" Amburgey and Elizabeth "Posey" "Betsy" Fuller and family moved to Hazard, Perry County, Kentucky, by 1827. Military Service: He enlisted in Company F of the 5th Kentucky Mounted Infantry Regiment Confederate States of America, on Friday, November 01, 1861, at Pound Gap, Virginia. He resigned on Monday, April 14, 1862, in Lebanon, Russell County, Virginia. He received a medical discharge in March 1863. Rachel B. Cornett (female) She was born about 1830 in Hazard, Perry County, Kentucky. She married Lieutenant Jesse Amburgey on Sunday, November 12, 1843. She died on Sunday, April 06, 1930. Residence in 1900: Both Jesse and Rachel and family lived in Upper Carr Precinct, Knott County, Kentucky. Residence in 1910: Rachel and children lived in Upper Carr Precinct, Knott County, Kentucky.
