Terry, I am also searching for Amburgey in Letcher County. Elizabeth Amburgey married Benjamin Everidge in 1855 in Letcher County. Her parents were Ambrose Amburgey and Rebecca Francis. I also have Collins in Letcher Co Robert Collins married Anna Banks prior to 1828. The only known child, a son Eli was born about 1828. Eli married Mary (Polly) Barrett in 1848, Their son Jasper Babe Collins married Nancy Collins (a cousin). Does any of this sound familiar?
