Hi Everyone, I just found this list on roots web. I hope it is still active. I went to the Amburgey family reunion in Hindman KY in July and had a really great time. I purchased the AMBURGEY ANCESTRY IN AMERICA book by Dorothy Amburgey Griffith and also got to meet her at the reunion. I have found out so much about my family history from this book and have also enjoyed helping others get in touch with their family roots. My g-g-g-great grandparents were John and Elizabeth Hammons Amburgey. My g-g-great grandfather was Ambrose Amburgey, g-great grandfather Wiley J. Amburgey, great grandfather William Riley Amburgey, grandfather Ambrose Wiley Amburgey, father James Denzil Amburgey. I would love hearing from all relatives and would be glad to help anyone I can in their search. I would really like to find out more about my great-aunt Adelia Amburgey Landrum. I have dates and info on her husband but would like to know if anyone has personal information about her. She died at 27 and no one I have talked to seems to know much about her.
