Dear Duane' Several years ago a gentleman named Paul R.Alwine of Sebring Fla. got in touch with my nephew Mark Alwine. He did alot of research on the Alwine name & I believe he is the one who put the name on the wall. I wrote to them because I couldn't follow his notes & unfortunately he now has alzheimers. I believe John F. Alwine(jfred@interpath.com) has had contact with him in the past.I have a note here that says he & his wife Cecilia visited Schwarzenau & talked to a PastorDaub who phoned a professor who checked records from 1699-1739 & could find no family like Alwine. His younger brother Jack sent me a copy of the certificate for the Ellis Island Wall of Honor. He is not currentlt on internet but his home address is Jack L. Alwine P.O. box 15, Hummelstown, Pa. 17036-0015. His phone # is 717-566-0306 he also stated that he has alot of Ted & Elizabeth Alwine's material. He too is descended from Conrad & Catherine by Peter S. Alwine. This may not answer your question but I hope ! it helps.
