Snyder Charles Michael Arnold was born April 23, 1881, died Sept. 28, 1945 Lebanon Daily News Friday Evening September 28, 1945 CHARLES ARNOLD DIES OF HEART ATTACK Charles M. (Mike) Arnold, 63, of 164 South Hanover Street, a popular fireman and other wise well known in the community, died suddenly at 12:30 o'clock seen today at his home. Although he had been ill health for sometime, his death came as a shock to his family and friends. It was attributed to a heart attack. He suffered for some time from a heart condition, but was not entirely incapacitated. He passed a restless night however, and therefore stayed at home this morning, with a purpose to see his doctor this afternoon. He was seated at the dinner table when the fatal attack came and expired before a physician could reach the house. He was employed in the tool shop of the Lebanon Plant, Bethlehem Steel Company. He was a member of the board of directors of the Keystone Gunning Club, and belonged to the Union Fire Company for many years. Fireman's Aid, eagles, Moose, Red Men, and Orioles Lodges. Mr. Arnold was unmarried. Surviving are four brothers, Edward L. and Romanus of Lebanon; Frank of Lansdale, and Robert of Hershey; three sisters, Miss Carrie Arnold of Reading, Mrs. Bertha, wife of George Heverling, and Mrs. Jennie Adams both of Lebanon. Lebanon Daily News Tuesday October 2, 1945 BURY CHARLES ARNOLD TODAY AT MT. LEBANON Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon in the Thompson Funeral home for Charles M. Arnold of 164 South Hanover Street. Rev. Luther Bealer, pastor of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiated. Interment was made in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Bearers were representatives of the three local organizations with which Mr. Arnold was affiliated as follows: Lewis Bickel and harry Miller, union Fire Company; Phaon Felty and Earl Bowman, Order of Eagles; George Dohner and Clayton Edwards, Keystone Gunning Club.
