First the other 25 uses of "Alwine" appear to me not to be "family" names but are in fact "first" names. Hans Jacob Alwine appears to be the only one listed where it is the family name. Second, you apparently have to pay them money to get someone's name listed -- and this means that someone (one of us perhaps) had Hans Jacob's name inscribed. In any case, I don't think this is any kind of independent confirmation of anything. I noticed that Hans Jacob Alwine's origins were given in the Web of Honor as Schwarzenau, Germany. Does anyone have access to information that would verify that? Thanks very much. Duane
