Allwein She died Dec 2, 1927 at Burlington, Iowa buried Dec. 5, 1927 at Burlington, Iowa Lebanon Daily News Monday Evening December 5, 1927 AGNES ARNOLD DIED SUNDAY AT BURLINGTON, IA Native of Lebanon, Being daughter of Late Philip Arnold. Work was received here on Sunday of the death at 3:27 o'clock on the morning of that day, of Agnes M. Arnold, formerly of this city, and for many years past of Burlington, Iowa, where she was known as Mother M. Domonica, at the Mercy Hospital, of which she was in charge as superintendent for a long time. Although she left here 45 years ago, she will be well remembered by middle aged and older people of this city as well as by members of St. Mary's Catholic Church, of which she was a member. She was aged 75 years and fell a victim to an attack of pneumonia after an illness of two weeks. She was a daughter of the late Philip S., and Rebecca Arnold, of this city, and was a sister to Philip Arnold, foreman of the NEWS composing rooms about twenty years ago. She was a graduate from St. Mary's parochial school here, and later graduated from St. Francis College and Hospital, Galesburg, Ill. She was a highly efficient professional nurse and was credited with much executive ability in her management of the hospital at Burlington. Mrs. Henry Loy, of 422 New street, and Mrs. John Glennon, of 1404 East Oliver street, Baltimore, MD., are sisters, and Vincent Arnold, of 239 Federal street, this city is a brother.
