ALLWEIN Victor E. Allwein, 69 of 1104 Cedar Crest Drive, Lebanon died Thursday, January 11, 1996 in the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Teresa M. Arnold Allwein. Born in Lebanon on June 25, 1926, he was the son of the late Victor J. and Lucy H. Allwein Allwein. He was retired from customer service with Sowers Printing Co. of Lebanon, and had been working as a courier for Meridian Bank. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church. He was president elect of the Verbena Club, treasurer of the Lebanon Senior Center, and he was active in parish activities and served his church as a lector. He was a member of the Friendship Fire Co. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons Victor C. and wife Mary Anne, Lebanon, Michael E. and Wife Lois, Shippensburg, and Thomas A. and wife Kathi, Biglerville; daughters Patricia A., wife of Michael P. Markowski, Camp Hill, Kathleen T., wife of Richard L. Knepper, New Cumberland, and Linda M. Allwein, York; eight grandsons; three nieces; and a nephew. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Norma Dice, sister-in-law of the bride, and Miss Kathy Allwein. The attendants wore polyester knit dresses and veils of yellow, green and peach respectively. Miss Gail Williams, maid of honor, wore a floor length gown of pink chiffon trimmed in floral venise lace. A dior bow of matching lace and chiffon held a two-tiered veil. She carried a nosegay of deep pink Marguerite daisies. The bride's sister, Miss Kathleen Allwein was the bridesmaid, and the groom's sister, Miss Ann Markowski was the junior bridesmaid. They wore ensembles similar to the honor attendant's, but in rose, and carried nosegays of light pink Marguerite daisies. John Kopinski acted as the best man. Serving as ushers were Michael Allwein and Anthony Markowski, brothers of the bride and groom, respectively. The bride graduated from Lebanon Catholic High School in 1969 and College Misericordia, Dallas, PA., in 1973. She will begin teaching chemistry in the fall at Trinity High School, Shiremanstown. The groom graduated from St. John the Evangelist, Pittston in 1968 and King's College, Wilkes-Barre in 1972. He is employed as a supply management assistant at Ships Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg. A reception was held at the Maennerchor Club for 175 guests.
