LEBANON DAILY NEW, SUNDAY, JULY 2, 2000 Elmer J. Leiss Elmer J. Leiss, 77, of 113 Canal St., Lebanon, died of natural causes Friday, June 30, 2000 in the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mildred M. Fitting Leiss, who died in 1995. Born in Lebanon on July 10, 1922, he was the son of the late Harry B. and Mary E. Arnold Leiss. He was a retired employee of the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. He was a member of Rescue Hose Co. #4, Independent Fire Co. and the Church of St. Cecilia. Surviving are three children, Diana L., wife of Frederick W. Beaver of Lebanon, Russell J. Leiss of Superior, Neb., and William E. Leiss of Lebanon; 10 grandchildren, Douglas J. Beaver, Craig A. Beaver, Gregory Leiss, Brian L. Ditzler, Tracey Ditzler, Robert Leiss, Barry Zentz, Judy Leiss, Deborah Pratte and Michelle Washburn; nine great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday from Thompson Funeral Home, 126 S. Ninth St., Lebanon. Interment will be in Ebenezer "Greenwood" Cemetery. Viewing will be Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
