ALICE ALLWEIN Funeral services were conducted at 8:30 o'clock this Morning, at the Thompson Funeral Home, on South Ninth Street, for Mrs. Alice Allwein, widow of William Allwein, who died at Reading. Following the rites at the funeral home, a solemn requiem high mass was celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, at 9 o'clock. Father John J. Lawley, rector of the parish, officiated as celebrant; the Rev. Robert Maher, of the same church was deacon, and the Rev. Geroge Fay, an assistant at St. Mary's, was sub-deacon. Burial was made in St. Mary's Catholic cemetery. The bearers were: Leon and Edgar Filson, Herman and Robert Thompson, Levi Spang and Leon Wolf. Thompson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
