A widower and six children survive. William Allwein, a South Lebanon township farmer, died this morning at 2:30 o'clock at his home at the Narrows, a victim of grip, following a month's illness. He was 67 years old, a widower, and leaves the following children: Allen, Mary, Adam, Augustus, Christian, and Amos Allwein, Fifteen grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters also survive: Jonas Allwein, Campbelltown; Augustus Allwein, this city; Philip Allwein, Harrisburg; Samuel Allwein, Hummelstown; Mrs. George Bechtold and Mrs. P. KOONS: Lebanon Daily News Saturday Evening May 19, 1900 MRS WILLIAM ALLWEIN Malinda, wife of William Allwein, died Friday morning of the grip and typhoid fever, with which she had been ill for some time, aged about 58 years. She was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Koons, and the family resided with her father since the death of Mrs. Koons on the road leading from the turnpike, at the narrows, to Kimmerling's church. She is survived by her husband, one daughter and six sons of whom some hare married. One of them lives in the home of his parents, on the corner of the turnpike and Almshouse road. Allwein of Avon Heights, Lebanon Route #2 died at three-thirty o'clock Sunday morning at the Good Samaritan Hospital, following an illness of five weeks caused by pneumonia. He was sixty-three years of age and had been employed by the Keystone Silk Company. Mr. Allwein was a Lutheran by faith. He was a member of the Order of Robins, the Order of Reindeer and the Independent Order of Americans of Avon, 885. Surviving are two brothers, Adam Allwein of Reinoehlsville, and C. A.
