    2. Philip J. Allwein was the son of George "Elijah Allwein and Angeline Arentz Allwein Manuscript PHILIP J., - son of Elijah and Angeline (Arentz) Allwein married to Lizzie Blouch. They reside in Lebanon, PA. He worked at butcher business for some time, later was engaged in laundry business. Lebanon Daily News Friday September 4, 1953 PHILIP J. ALLWEIN, 92, DIES AT E. CUMBERLAND ST. HOME Philip J. Allwein, 309 East Cumberland Street, died at 11:30 o'clock this morning at his home of complications following an illness of the past two months. He would have celebrated his 92nd birthday on October 30th. A retired Bethlehem Steel Company employe, he was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a faithful member of the Holy Name Society. He also was a member of Loyal Order of Moose and St. Mary's Society. His wife preceded him in death seven years ago. His is survived by the following children, Elmer, Glenwillard, PA, Leroy, Akron, Ohio; Herman, Lebanon; Raphael, Lemoyne, Louella, wife of John Embich, Lebanon; Bertha, wife of Thomas F. Barry, Lebanon, Helen Allwein, Harrisburg and Margaret Allwein, at home. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a sister, Sarah Allwein, of Lebanon. Lebanon Daily News Tuesday September 8, 1953 REQUIEM MASS HELD FOR PHILIP ALLWEIN TODAY Funeral services for Philip J. Allwein, 91 of 309 E. Cumberland St., who died Friday, were held at 8:30 a.,. today from the Thompson Funeral Home 126 S. 9th St., followed by a solemn high requiem mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Paul D. Weaver was celebrant of the mass, the Rev. Matthias F. Siedlecki was deacon and the Rev. Anthony J. McGinley was sub-deacon. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery. Pallbearers for Allwein were Robert Barry, Richard Embich, Jack Embich, Neil Fleischer. P. H. Thompson Funeral Home was in charge. Nancy Allwein Nebiker nnebiker@bellatlantic
