    2. The Daily News Tuesday December 27, 1994 BERNARD W. ALLWEIN Bernard W. Allwein, 93 of 46 Ridge Ave., Lebanon, died Tuesday, December 27, 1994, in Lancaster General Hospital. He was the husband of Margaret Synder Keim Allwein. Born in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Francis and Amanda Beamesderfer Allwein. He was retired from the former Lebanon Steel Foundry where he worked as a core maker. He was a member of the Retired Steelworkers Club, the Knights of Columbus and its Fourth Degree Assembly, and was named Knight of the Year in 1991. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Catholic Beneficial League, a charter member of the Friendship Fire Co., the Senior Citizens Center, Verbena Club, Holy Name Society and was a member of St. Gregory the Great Church. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children William F. Allwein, Lebanon, Charles B. Allwein, Mt. Gretna, Louise Pugliese, Lancaster, and Mary Agnes, wife of Edward Duffy, Annville, 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers: Thomas Allwein, Lebanon and Frederick Allwein, Campbelltown; sisters Josephine Bunch, Annville, and Jeanette Keefer, Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hilda E. Arnold Allwein, a daughter, Patricia Rittle, a sister, Catherine Cincel, and brothers James, Wayne, Clement, Carroll and Mark Allwein. Allwein of 46 Ridge Ave., Lebanon, was celebrated Thursday, December 29, 1994, in St. Gregory the Great Church. He was the husband of Margaret K. Allwein. The Rev. Lawrence Heiney, pastor of the church, was the celebrant. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery with grandsons Michael R. Hershour, William B. Allwein, Timothy M. Allwein, Jeffrey J. Allwein, Drew C. Allwein, Scott E. Duffy, Joel A. Pugliese, Dale Peters and Girard Keim serving as pallbearers. Thompson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Thomas, Remember this obituary? The first wife was Hilda. In my FTM I have this Hilda E. Arnold born 1902 and died 1961 buried at Holy Cross. I also do not have her parents names.
