Mary Elizabeth Arnold was the daughter of Howard Henry Arnold and Mabel E. Allwein She was born July 25, 1919 Lebanon Daily News, Lebanon, Pennsylvania MARY ELIZABETH ARNOLD Mary Elizabeth Arnold, 225 Walnut St., Lebanon, died Tuesday, June 7, 1983, in her home. She was 63 and had retired as chief accountant for the Lebanon VA Medical Center after 40 years of service there. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and had served in the Women's Marine Corps in World War II. She was a member of the Myerstown American Legion, and the Friendship, Frystown, Jonestown Perseverance and Mt. Zion Fire companies, Senior Citizen's Center of Lebanon, and was an active volunteer at the Good Samaritan Hospital, St. Mary's Church and the VA Medical Center. Surviving is a son, Thomas C. Arnold, San Jose, Calif., her father, Howard Arnold, Lebanon; her step-mother, Viola Arnold, Lebanon; sisters Sara Arnold, Myerstown, Gertrude Trompeter, Lebanon; Catherine Parisi, and Frances Emas, both of Philadelphia; Sister Agnes Leona, at St. Mary's in Lebanon; Regina Combs, Tampa, Fla.; Rose Felty, Washington, D.C.; and Geraldine Peiffer, Schwenksville; Brothers Howard Arnold, Jr., Lebanon; Joseph V. Arnold, Lebanon; Robert Arnold, Fredericksburg; William Arnold, Midway, N.C.; and Raymond Arnold, Lebanon; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
