Allwein, 84, of Spang Crest Manor, formerly of South Quince Street, Lebanon died Sunday, January 11, 1998, in the home. Born August 25, 1913, in Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Charles T. and Catherine Triest Allwein. She was a clergical housekeeper for 53 years in the Harrisburg diocese and was a member of St. Mary's Church. Surviving are a brother, Mark T. Allwein of Cleona; sister - in - law Margaret M. Darkas of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mabel G. Allwein, and step sisters Catherine Hoke, Edith Seltzer, and Irene Tice. Allwein, of Spang Crest Nursing Home, was celebrated Thursday, Jan. 15, 1998, in St. Mary's Church. The Rev. Robert Sharman, parochial vicar of the church, was the celebrant. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles W. Allwein, Bradley T. Allwein, Donald Stoudt II, Thomas Stoudt, Harold Darcas and Bradley Haulman.
