Herman Allwein, Jr., Pittsburgh, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 1983, as a result of burns suffered three weeks ago in an accident in his home. He was 54 and a native of Lebanon. Born in Lebanon, he was a son of Mary C. Arnold Allwein and the late Herman J. Allwein. He was a home teacher for the blind in the Pittsburgh area and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church,Wilkinsburg. In addition to his mother, he is survived by brothers William, Thomas, Edward, all of Lebanon; and Donald, Annapolis, MD; a nephew and two nieces. Lebanon Daily News HERMAN J. ALLWEIN A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Thursday, January 27, 1983, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lebanon, for Herman J. Allwein, Jr., 1419 Laketon Road, Pittsburgh, formerly of Lebanon. Monsignor Joseph P. Kealy, Pastor, was celebrant. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery. Pallbearers were Josuf Allwein, Jonathan Arnold, Donald Barry, Dr. John Embich, Richard Embich and William Jones. Thompson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
