    2. "Pete" Pierce Charles Allwein, son of Paul Aloysius Allwein and Anna L. Shay. Lebanon Daily News Monday June 2, 1997 PIERCE C. "PETE" ALLWEIN Pierce C. "Pete" Allwein, 68, of 2045 Weavertown Road, Lebanon, died Sunday, June 1, 1997, in the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Dorothy I. Kreiser Allwein. Born in Lebanon, on July 9, 1928, he was a son of the late Paul and Annie Shay Allwein. He retired from Quaker Aloy Co. of Myerstown after 30 years and was a part-time watchman at the Lebanon Municipal building. He was an Army veteran and a member of the church of St. Cecilia. He was a 1947 graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children Richard B. Allwein of Grantville, Jame E. Allwein of Jonestown, and William C. Allwein of Lebanon; grandchildren Tristan and Cody Hoke; brothers Paul Allwein of Williamsville, NY, Herman Allwein of Thornton, Colo., Joseph Allwein of Arlington, VA, Robert Allwein of Allentown, and James Allwein of Lebanon; sisters, Sister Mary Esdras of St. Joseph's Villa, Flourtown, Sister Ann Louise of Precious Blood Convent of Columbia, Mary Sattazahn of Lebanon and Clare Barbini of Norfolk, VA, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, John H. Allwein. Lebanon Daily News Friday June 6, 1997 PIERCE C. ALLWEIN Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday, June 6, 1997, in the Church of St. Cecilia for Pierce C. Allwein of 2045 Weavertown Road, Lebanon. He was the husband of Dorothy Allwein. The Rev. J. Michael McFadden, pastor of the church, was the celebrant. Interment was in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, with Paul R. Sattazahn, Paul T. Sattazahn, Richard Kreiser, Charles Kreiser, David Barbini and Daniel Greenawalt as pallbearers. DEATH NOTICES ALLWEIN-In Lebanon on June 1, 1997, Pierce C. "Pete" Allwein husband of Dorothy I. (nee) Kreiser Allwein of 2045 Weavertown Rd., Lebanon Aged 68 years. Funeral on Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. from the Thompson Funeral Home, 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon. Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. from the Church of St. Cecilia, 2nd Ave. and E. Lehman St., Lebanon. Interment in St. Gertrude's Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Friends may call Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
