Barry, 94, formerly of Ceder haven, died Friday, May 19, 1989, at Cedar haven. She was the wife of the late Thomas F. Barry, who died in 1969. Born in Lebanon to the late Philip and Elizabeth Blouch Allwein. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lebanon, the council of Catholic Women and the Pennsylvania Catholic Beneficial League. She also served as a volunteer in local nursing homes for many years. Surviving are a son, Robert C. Barry, Palmyra, daughters, Elizabeth B., wife of Paul J. Murray, Wyomissing Hills and Marguerite Allwein, Lebanon. 21 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter Kathleen T. Rudegeair in 1972. Lebanon Daily News Monday May 22, 1989 A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday, May 22, 1989 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, for Bertha A. Barry, 1100 Jackson Blvd., Lebanon. She was the wife of the late Thomas F. Barry. The Rev. Francis A. Bach, pastor was the celebrant. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert C. Barry, Jr., Michael Barry, Daniel Barry, John Barry, Philip Barry, Thomas Murray, William Rudegeair and Peter Rudegeair. Thompson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
