Richard Allan Allwein Lebanon Daily News, Lebanon, Pennsylvania Saturday May 24, 1969 CATHOLIC CHURCH SCENE OF RITES Miss Donna Welk of 216 Progress St., Newmanstown and Richard Allwein of 10 W. Richland Ave., Myerstown, were married at eleven o'clock this morning in Mary Gate of Heaven Catholic Church, Myerstown. The Rev. Frederick Farace officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Weik. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Allwein. The church was decorated with flowers, pew markers and a bridal carpet. Music was provided by Miss Monica Ferretti, organist, and members of the church choir. SILK AND LACE The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, wore a silk peau de sole and alencon lace gown and headpiece of clustered silk petals. She carried a cascade of carnations and roses. Miss Doris Weaver, cousin of the bride; Miss Rebecca Hertzog, Mrs. Janet Swisher, and Mrs. Howard Moore, sister of the groom. Miss Kelley Welk, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. The honor attendant and flower girls wore yellow gowns while the bridesmaids wore pale green. Matching headpieces and bouquets of carnations completed their ensembles. BEST MAN Robert Allwein was best man for his cousin. Ushers were Robert Allwein, brother of the groom; David Allwein, another brother; Allen Angley and Howard Moore. David Engle was ring bearer. A reception for 225 guests was held at the Myerstown American Legion,after which the couple left for Wildwood, N. J. They will live at Richland. The bride was graduated from Eastern Lebanon County High School and is employed by Wernersville State Hospital as a psychiatric aide. The groom, a graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School, is employed by Calcite Quarry Incorporated. Cousin Nancy
