The double ring ceremony is being performed by the Rev. Carl J. Swanger. Marlin Hernley, soloist and organist, is providing music. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark T. Allwein of Annville RD 2. Parents of the groom are the Rev. and Mrs. W. L. Combs of Piketon, Ohio. Given in marriage by her father, the bride is wearing a chantilly lace gown fashioned with long sleeves, a batteau neckline and watteau train. The gown is accented with pearls and iridescence and is complemented by a crown headpiece of seed pearls and crystals. She is carrying a single pink rose. Mrs. Elinor Herr, matron of honor and sister of the bride, is wearing a blue chiffon over taffeta gown and headpiece. Bridesmaids, Mrs. Ruth Firestone, sister of the bride; Mrs. Nancy Combs, sister-in-law of the groom; Miss Barbara Thomasco, cousin of the bride, and Mrs. Marilyn Hernley, are wearing pink gowns. The flower girl, Miss Lisa Firestone. niece of the bride, is also wearing blue. She is carrying a basket of pink roses while the other attendants are carrying single pink roses. The Rev. A reception for 150 guests is being held at the Bunker Hill Social Hall. Following a trip to New York, the couple will live at Annville, RD #2. Allwein, 303 E. Chestnut St., Cleona, became the bride of Kenneth Earl Herr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd V. Herr, Lebanon RD 4, on Saturday afternoon at two o'clock. Officiating at the double ring rites in the First Assembly of God Church, Cleona, was the Rev. Carl Swanger of Ashland. Nuptial music was presented by Marlin Hernley, organist, and John Bender, soloist. White altar flowers, ferns and pew markers decorate the church. FATHER ESCORT Mr. Allwein escorted his daughter to the altar. She was attired in a gown of tissue taffeta. Chantilly lace and tulle designed with long tapered sleeves and a full length bouffant skirt. Pleated net high lighted the front of the skirt and sequins and pearls high lighted the bodice. Her headdress was three flowers of silk organza with a pearlized center attached to a four tiered shoulder length illusion veil. She carried a white Bible adorned with a cascade of white pompons. HONOR ATTENDANT Mrs. Ruth Firestone, the bride's twin sister, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Ruth Bowers, a friend of the bride, and Miss Carol Ann Allwein, sister of the bride. Misses Debra and Eileen Herr, the groom's nieces, were the flower girls. The bride's attendants were gowned in red velvet dresses fashioned with scoop necklines. long sleeves and pleated street length skirts. Their headpieces were bands of white fur muffs and red pompons. The mother of the bride wore a cranberry dress with black and white accessories. The groom's mother was seen in a cranberry dress and black accessories. Both mothers completed their ensembles with white baby orchid corsages. MEN IN PARTY Glenn Firestone, brother-in-law of the bride, was the best man. Seating the guests were Robert Bowers and Lester Smith, friends of the groom. The ring bearer was Vern Herr, the groom's nephew. Approximately 250 guests invited from Michigan, Florida, Virginia, Tennessee, Ohio, North Carolina, Connecticut and various parts of Pennsylvania attended the reception at the Ebenezer Fire Hall. For traveling to a honeymoon in Virginia, the bride wore a two piece red suit, black accessories and a corsage of white pompons. The new Mrs. Herr is a graduate of Annville-Cleona High School, class of 1960, and the Lebanon School of Beauty. She is employed by Doris' Beauty Shop, Annville.
