Allwein Allwein Manuscript THEODORE H., - (Baptized Isadore) son of Edward and Elizabeth (Arnold) Allwein was born on his father's farm and lived with his parents working on the farm until he was about 24 years of age. Married November 27, 1878 in St. Mary's R. C. Church Sarah, daughter of Philip and Rebecca Arnold (II-16) They moved on his Grand-mother's farm near Kimmerlings Church and farmed this land for several years after which he moved on a larger farm adjoining this owned by a Mr. Riefus and lived there for one year when his wife Sarah died. He sold his stock and farming implements moving to Lebanon, PA and done laboring work for several years. On February 1, 1883 he married Catharine, daughter of George and Mary McCann of Middletown, PA after which he purchased a property and about five acres of ground from Isaac M. Allwein and moved on this property which was situated on the south of his father's farm. He engaged with his father and worked on the farm until his father retired 1887 when he moved on the old home-stead farming same until the spring of 1898 when he made public sale disposing of part of his stock and implements and removing the balance to a farm of about 33 acres about two miles south of Jonestown which he purchased. (This farm was known as the Heisy farm). Son HENRY THEODORE, born in Bethel Township, Lebanon Co., PA. January 22nd, 1854. Baptized January 25th, 1854 by Father Schwartz. Evening Report Friday December 24, 1920 THOMAS H. ALLWEIN SWATARA TWP. FARMER DIED LAST EVENING (Should be Theodore) Thomas (Should be Theodore) H. Allwein, a prominent farmer of Swatara, died at 11 o'clock last evening at his home a victim of heart failure after an illness of more than a year. He was aged 69 years, 11 months and 1 day, and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, this city. Mr. Allwein is survived by his widow; two sons, Charles and Edward Allwein; two daughters, Mrs. George Shaud and Miss Lucy Allwein; one brother, Jerome Allwein and a sister, Sister Luigi at a convent in Kentucky. Christ celebrated a requiem mass in St. Mary's Catholic church this morning for the late Theodore Allwein, Swatara township, farmer, who died last week. The mass was followed with interment in St. Mary's cemetery. Funeral Director Thompson had charge. Lebanon Daily News Friday Evening December 24, 1920 THEODORE ALLWEIN Theodore H. Allwein, of Swatara township, died on Thursday night at 11 o'clock at home of heart failure at the age of 66 years after an illness of twelve months. He was a farmer by occupation and a member of St. Mary's Catholic church. He leaves his wife, and children--Charles, Edward Miss Lucy, at home; Mrs. George Shaud, of Lebanon; one brother, Jerome Allwein, of Philadelphia, and one sister, Sister Luigi, of Kentucky Lebanon Daily News Monday December 27, 1920 THEODORE ALLWEIN Funeral services were held this morning for the late Theodore Allwein,of Swatara township, near Jonestown. The services took place at 9:30 o'clock in St. Mary's catholic church in charge of the Rev. Father Adam Christ and were followed by burial in St. Mary's cemetery. The undertaker was Pierce H. Thompson and the services were very largely attended by relatives and friends. FUNERAL NOTICES ALLWEIN-In Swatara Township, on the 23rd inst., Theodore H. Allwein, aged 66 years, 11 months and 1 day. Funeral on Monday morning, at 9:00 o'clock from the residence, Jonestown, Road, Swatara Township. Services at 9:30 o'clock in St. Mary's Catholic church. Interment at St. Mary's cemetery.
