Allwein Jr., was born August 9, 1903, died Nov. 21, 1962 at Lebanon Sanatorium, Lebanon, PA Buried November 26, 1962 at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Lebanon Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania Married November 26, 1962, Lix # 034-018 Foreman, Steel Melter married Mary C. Arnold, she was born April 20, 1905 she was buried at Holy Cross Cemetery Her parents were: William J. Arnold and Susan Light Lebanon Daily News Friday November 23, 1962 HERMAN J. ALLWEIN, 59, DIES AT SANATORIUM Herman J. Allwein, 59, of 529 Hill St., died Wednesday evening at the Lebanon Sanatorium, following a six week illness. A son of the late Philip and Elizabeth Blouch Allwein, he was employed by the Lebanon Steel Foundry. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus. He also belonged to the Lebanon Eagles, the Fifth Ward Athletic Club and the Liberty, Hook and Ladder and Independent Fire Companies. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mary Arnold Allwein, and five sons: Herman J, Jr., Pittsburgh; Donald E., Annapolis, Md, William P., Thomas A., and Edward A., all at home. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Elmer, of Glen Willard, PA; Leroy, Akron, Ohio; Raphael, Marysville, PA; Louella, wife of John Embich, Lebanon; Bertha, wife of Thomas Barry, Lebanon; Miss Helen Allwein, Harrisburg, and Miss Margaret Allwein, Annville. Lebanon Daily News Monday November 26, 1962 INTER HERMAN ALLWEIN AT HOLY CROSS CEMETERY Funeral services for Herman J. Allwein, 529 Hill St., were held at 8:30 o'clock this morning from Thompson's Funeral Home, 126 S. Ninth St. A requiem High Mass was sung at St. Mary's Church at 9 o'clock, with the Rev. Anthony W. Hebb officiating. Burial took place at Holy Cross Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Wilson Englehart, Leo Rudegeair, Edward Wolosin, Gordin Gingrich, Wilfred Luvisi and Jack Foster.
