I am from the Allwine side of the family which I believe is related to the Allwein side, with just a different spelling. I am also trying to set up the surname website for alwine, allwine, and allwein. Do any of you have a family tree that I can get started with on the allwein side. I see a lot of information coming over the list, but since I do not have a base to work from it is difficult to tie it together. If it could be mail, email, or faxed I would appreciate it. Thanks. Hello Steve, my name is Nancy Allwein Nebiker, I use to live in Lebanon, PA until January 1999. I'm the one who has been sending all the obituary articles such as the one you copied on the this E-mail. My question is why have two E-mails at the same time? It would be a duplication of work. What do you think? Hi Steve (and the other list members I am Thomas Stobie, a descendent of Hans Jacob Allwein and I maintain my complete GEDCOM on rootsweb and update it about monthly. Currently I have about 4,000 descendents of Hans Jacob Allwein in the file of over 92,000 people. It can be found at: http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=SHOW&db=stobie From there type in the box Allwein, Hans Jacob to bring out his family. You will find that when someone posts about an Allwein that I have no heard about, I tend to question them to get the linkages. Also note that there are many related families, such as the Arnolds, that tend to intermarry into the Allwein linem so the data is extremely theee-dimensional. There are people in the file who descend from Hans Jacob Allwein at least four times. I did not notice any places in your website, but most of the Allweins I know about have resided in Pennsylvania all of their lives. Enjoy, Thomas A. Stobie, SFO Everything for the Glory of God. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Allwine" <steve@allwine.net> To: <ALWINE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, April 29, 2034 9:37 AM Subject: [ALWINE] Family Tree for allwein > I am from the Allwine side of the family which I believe is related to the > Allwein side, with just a different spelling.
