    2. Thomas F. Barry, was the son of Thomas F. Barry and Delia O'Day He was the husband of Bertha A. Allwein. His SS # 175-05-3239 Married Nov. 25, 1920 Marriage License # 029-270 Lebanon Daily News Monday November 17, 1969 THOMAS BARRY DIES; RETIRED MANUFACTURER Thomas F. Barry, a retired local manufacturer of children's dresses and a one time Pennsylvania State Policeman and an organizer of the former Lebanon Legion Drum and Bugle Corps, died Saturday afternoon in the Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg. He was a resident of 813 S. Twelfth St. and he had been ill for a year. He was 73. A native of Lebanon, Barry served on the Mexican Border with Company D of the 109th Machine Gun Battalion and he later saw service in World Way I. He was with army units involved in the major battles in France. He was wounded in action. Following his return to civilian status after the was he joined the State Police and he served in that organization for two years. He was stationed at the Wyoming Barracks. After leaving the State Police he entered the employe of the Louis Baskind Company, a shirt manufacture located on Lehman Street. ORGANIZED COMPANY In 1942 Barry organized the All-American Dress Company, manufacturing children's dresses. When the firm's premises at Sixth and Willow Streets were destroyed by fire in 1952 he moved operations to North Eighth Street and the firm then became known as the Barry Manufacturing Company. He retired in 1959. Following World War I Barry was a founder of the American Legion Drum and Bugle corps here and he served as an instructor of that outfit which for a number of years was a leader among its type of musical-parade organizations. A member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society, Barry was also a charter member of the Fourth Degree Assembly of the Knight of Columbus, and he was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, the former Bertha A. Allwein; one son, Robert C., Palmyra, and three daughters, Elizabeth Anne, wife of Paul Murray, Wyomissing; Kathleen T., wife of Carl Rudegeair, King of Prussia, and Miss Marguerite H. Barry, at home. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Margaret Eisenhauer, Lebanon, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Thomas and Delia O'Day Barry. Lebanon Daily News Wednesday November 19, 1969 THOMAS F. BARRY Funeral services were held this morning for Thomas F. Barry, 813 S. Twelfth St., at the Thompson Funeral Home. A Requiem High Mass was celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Joseph H. Fornwald, assistant pastor, was the celebrant.
