The Daily News Friday May 4, 1990 ELIJAH H. ARNOLD, SR. Elijah H. Arnold, Sr., 83, of 2000 Cornwall Road, Lebanon, died Thursday, May 3, 1990, at home. He was the husband of Cora E. Spitler Arnold, with whom he had celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on August 28, 1989. Born in Bethel Township, he was a son of the late Jerome and Elizabeth Allwein Arnold. He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, Legion of Mary, Knights of Columbus, Mt. Zion Fire Co., Pennsylvania Catholic Beneficial League, Central Democratic Club, Friendship Fire Co., and the Independent Fire Co. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are 14 children, Elijah Jr., Lebanon, Richard, Mt. Aetna, Jerome, Charles, Paul, Francis, James, David and Christopher, all of Lebanon, John, Baltimore, MD., Agnes, wife of Robert Shearer, Annville, Barbara, wife of Ray Kreider, Annville, Joanne, wife of Ronald King, Effort, PA., Mildred, wife of David Wenger, Effort, PA; 22 grandchildren; 22 great-great grandchildren; brothers Howard and Stephen, both of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson Jeffrey David Arnold. The Daily News ELIJAH H. ARNOLD, SR. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, May 7, 1990, in St. Mary's Catholic Church for Elijah H. Arnold, Sr., 2000 Cornwall Road, Lebanon. He was the husband of Cora E. Arnold. The Rev. Francis A. Bach, pastor of the church, was the celebrant. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, with Elijah H. Arnold, Jr., Richard Arnold, John Arnold, Frank Arnold, Jerome Arnold, David Arnold, Christopher Arnold and James Arnold serving as pallbearers.
