Lebanon Daily News Thursday October 19, 2000 Sterling J. Shaak Sterling J. Shaak, 83, of 715 State Drive, Lebanon, died of natural causes Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, in Lebanon's VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Helen G. Arnold Shaak. Born Oct. 31, 1916, in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Henry and Lillian Pautz Shaak. He was a retired employee of the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Cecilia Church, Lebanon Senior Center and Friendship Fire Co. Surviving in addition to his wife are a brother, Chester Shaak of Cleona, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers Stanton, James and Hayward Shaak. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Cecilia Church, 202 E. Lehman St., Lebanon, preceded by a viewing at 10. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Thompson Funeral Home, Lebanon, is handling arrangements. QUESTION: IS HELEN G. ARNOLD SHAAK THE SAME PERSON WHO'S FATHER IS JACOB HERMAN ARNOLD??? Nancy
