May he rest in peace. Good bless him. Nancy Theodore Allwein Theodore W. Allwein, 87, of 10 W. Richland Ave., Myerstown, died of natural causes Tuesday, April 17, 2001, in Lebanon's Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth Manderbach Allwein. Born Nov. 29, 1913, in Swatara Township, Lebanon County, he was a son of the late William and Mary Bleistine Allwein. He retired as a heavy equipment operator at the former Calcite Quarry in Lebanon after 40 years. He was a member of Mary Gate of Heaven Church in Myerstown and the Lebanon VFW, and a former member of the Lebanon County Historical Society. He was an Army veteran of World War II who received the Purple Heart. Surviving are sons Robert T., husband of Dianna Allwein, Richard A., husband of Donna Allwein, and David W., husband of Teresa Allwein, all of Myerstown; daughters Sandra A. Whitman and Ramona L. Allwein, both of Lebanon, Linda L., wife of Keith Uhrich of Myerstown, Constance M., wife of Malcolm Stephens of New Mexico, and Bonita McCurdy and companion Robert Anspach of Jonestown; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Lawrence Whitman, and five brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Clauser Funeral Home, North Carpenter Street, Schaefferstown, preceded by a viewing beginning at 10. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Myerstown.
