She nursed both her mother and sister Jane in their Last illness. The welfare of her sister Jane's baby boy, Jacob Vincent was confided to her which trust she held as sacred. After her mothers death the management of household duties devolved upon he which she performed until her fathers second marriage. For a period of about one year she acted as house keeper for Father McMonigle at the little Cornwall Church attending to his personal wants until his death December 16, 1893 after which she again returned home.
