Lebanon Daily News, Lebanon, PA Saturday, March 31, 2001 James A. Eck James A. Eck, 58, of American Legion Boulevard, Pine Grove, died Friday, March 30, 2001, in the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Pottsville. He was the husband of Elizabeth A. Witmer Eck. Born May 25, 1942, in Lebanon, he was the son of Alice J. Feather Eck of Lebanon and the late Robert C. Eck. He was a 1961 graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School and a member of the St. Peter's UCC Church, Pine Grove, where he served on the consistory of the church. He was a Vietnam War veteran, having served in the Marine Corps, where he received the Good Conduct Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of the Annville American Legion, the Lebanon VFW, the Rescue Fire Co. , HH&L Fire Co. #4, Lebanon, and the Pine Grove Camp Association. Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, are sons Patrick J. Eck and Ryan J. Eck, both at home; brother Robert J. Eck; and sisters Pauline Sweitzer and Barbara Brungart, all of Lebanon. Memorial services will be held Thursday in St. Peter's UCC Church, 227 S. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, with the Rev. Richard W. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove. The H.L. Snyder Funeral Home, Pine Grove, is in charge
