I am currently researching my wife Rachel's family line which contains many Pennsylvania German families such as Arnold, Allwein, Eck, Zweier/Swoyer, Seifert/Cyphert, Schaeffer, Swonger, Schmidt, Zip, Wolf, Greth and a number of other direct ancestors. For the moment, I will be a passive observer to some of the information being sent out, as being located in Seattle gives me limited scope to research Pennsylvanian roots. But I will chip in when I can, answer questions, and hopefully will be of some help to our research. We plan to move back to Scotland, where I am from, in a couple of years time so a trip to Germany is in order to do some genealogical research (along with Poland, Spain, Italy, Ireland etc.).
