Francis's parents were Charles A. Bunch -----and Mary Soblesky. They married November 22, 1944 marriage license -----#046-287. Josephine Harriet Allwein is the daughter of Francis Aloysius Allwein and Amanda Elizabeth Beamesderfer. The Daily News August 16, 1985 ELIZABETH A. HINKS Elizabeth A. Hinks, 19, daughter of Joseph T. and Mary Bunch Hinks, 2085 Wearvertown Road, Lebanon, died in Lebanon Valley General Hospital Friday, August 16, 1985, as a result of injured suffered in a car accident on Route 72. She was a graduate of Cedar Crest High School Class of 1984 and was attending Bryland Beauty School in Reading. She was a member of St. Gertrude's Catholic Church. Surviving, in addition to her parents are a brother, Matthew, and a sister, Jennifer, both at home; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hinks of Lebanon; maternal grandmother, Josephine Bunch of Lebanon; and several aunts and uncles. The Daily News Monday August 19, 1985 ELIZABETH A. HINKS Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday, Aug. 19, 1985, in St. Gertrude's Catholic Church for Elizabeth A. Hinks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph T. Hinks, Jr., 2085 Weavertown Road, Lebanon. The Rev. John F. Greaney was the celebrant. Interment was in St. Gertrude's Cemetery. Mark Simmons, Kerry Chernich, Chris Brown, Jay Brown, Jay M. Brown and Matthew Hinks served as pallbearers. The Thompson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Lebanon Daily News August 16, 1985 TWO KILLED IN ROUTE 72 CRASH Two people died early today in a one car crash on Route 72 just south of Bunker Hill, along a section of winding roadway that has been the scene of numerous accidents in the past few years. The driver, Elizabeth Ann Hinks, 19, of 2085 Weavertown Road, Lebanon, was taken to Lebanon Valley General Hospital and pronounced dead there at 3:51 a.m. by Dr. Hugh Knight. Hinks, a daughter of Joseph T. and Mary Bunch Hinks, was a 1984 graduate of Cedar Cress High School. The other victim, a man in his 20s, remained unidentified late this morning. he was pronounced dead at the scene by Dr. Robert Kline, county coroner. Another passenger, Theresa Mann, 18, of Lancaster Avenue, Mt. Gretna, was taken to Lebanon Valley General Hospital in Lebanon's Independent Ambulance and is listed in stable condition. A hospital spokeswoman said Mann is in the intensive care unit, undergoing treatment for neck injuries. The car, a small, two door model, was demolished, police said. According to police, the car was southbound on Route 72 at a high rate of speed in the 40 mph zone shortly after 2 a.m. when it crossed into the left lane and struck guard rails on the east side of the highway, then veered back across the road to the west side. There it struck a curbing and became airborne, slamming into several trees on property owned by Mark Zehring, 2001 RT. 72 North, and flipping onto its side. Police said neither the driver nor the passengers wore seat belts. Hinks was thrown from the car and pinned beneath it, they said. Rescue operations were performed by members of the Jonestown and Bunker Hill fire companies, including the Jonestown Rescue Unit. Also at the scene were the Independent and First Aid Ambulance and the First Aid and Safety Patrol Ambulance, both of Lebanon; and Medic Unit 10 from Palmyra. It took approximately half an hour to free Hinks, according to police. Rescue teams also had to free the unidentified man from the wreckage. Police said he was caught "partly in and partly out of the car." Mann, they said, was the only one of the three who was clear of the wreckage "and could be helped immediately". Police said the man could not be identified quickly because he carried no wallet or identity cards. No witnesses to the crash, if there were any, had contacted police by mid-morning, officers said. State police are asking anyone with information to call the barracks at 272-3925. They said the severity of impact and the car's careening pattern that took it across the roadway twice were evidence of the "high rate of speed" that was a part of their official statement. And, they added, there is "definite evidence that this crash is alcohol related." Police acknowledge the area has been the scene of "quite a few" accidents, and noted the deep curve of the roadway sometimes has been a contributing factor. An officer talking about the crash this morning said, however, it is a far less frequent site than the Route 72 Thompson Avenue intersection just a short distance away. "We have tons of them up there," the officer said.

    3. Dear Duane' Several years ago a gentleman named Paul R.Alwine of Sebring Fla. got in touch with my nephew Mark Alwine. He did alot of research on the Alwine name & I believe he is the one who put the name on the wall. I wrote to them because I couldn't follow his notes & unfortunately he now has alzheimers. I believe John F. Alwine(jfred@interpath.com) has had contact with him in the past.I have a note here that says he & his wife Cecilia visited Schwarzenau & talked to a PastorDaub who phoned a professor who checked records from 1699-1739 & could find no family like Alwine. His younger brother Jack sent me a copy of the certificate for the Ellis Island Wall of Honor. He is not currentlt on internet but his home address is Jack L. Alwine P.O. box 15, Hummelstown, Pa. 17036-0015. His phone # is 717-566-0306 he also stated that he has alot of Ted & Elizabeth Alwine's material. He too is descended from Conrad & Catherine by Peter S. Alwine. This may not answer your question but I hope ! it helps. 3. Hi Chuck, I have my data on line at http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=SHOW&db=stobie This opens to the index, to list from there type Arnold, H which will start the displayed list at the H's of the Arnold. (or Arnold, Henry to start with the Henry's) Also note that Henry Herman Arnold has two lines of descents to Hans & Katrina Allwein, one through each parent. Hi Everyone, currently I have about 3500 Hans Jacob Allwein's descendents in this file. If you need data about the "living" people ask me I will send it to you. If you find that your Allwein/Alwines/Allwines/Alwin are missing, I would love your data.
